Counting and triggering
When it comes to highly-precise triggering and exact counting using through-beam procedures, sensors of the FIA-L series are your first choice. Working in reflected light mode, the edge detectors of the RED series provide tried and tested performance. Edge heights are registered reliably from 0.02mm. The software modes with which the RED series are fitted are able to perform a range of counting procedures. Originally developed for the punching and forming sector, the one-way light barriers of the FIA, TLB and FLB series provide high performance in the most challenging of environments. True to our motto "let's make sensors more individual" we happy to make bespoke adjustments to our standard products tailored to your needs.
Surface inspection and gloss measurement
Do you need to perform gloss measurement, turbidity inspections or contrast or structure inspections? Then you have come to the right place! We provide various inline sensors for each measurement procedure: The gloss detection sensors of out GLOSS series provide three different angle types (20°, 60° and 85°) depending on the degree of roughness of the surface to be measured. Should you need to differentiate exactly between various interior components from the automobile sector, starting with a range of different-colored and structured leather and synthetic leathers, textiles and ultrasuedes, the COLOR GLOSS CONTRAST NIR sensors of the COAST series do just the job. The haze plays an important role in ascertaining the surface quality of stainless steel and aluminum sheets. The sensors of the GLAST series can determine the quality of these metal surfaces with great precisions. Various graticules are available for these sensor types. The SI-JET series allow you to keep the spraying procedure under control. Ranging from spray jets invisible to the eye to highly-dosed jets or targeted metering (individual droplets) delivered via a piezo nozzle, the SI Jet series is fitted with the matching sensors. The SPECTRO-M series reveals the mid-wavelength infrared light range, permitting for example, the detection of thin oil layers or the ascertainment of the thickness of transparent, extremely thin films. A further advantage: our sensors permit the highly-precise inline detection of your products even in challenging environments.
Distance measurement and positioning
Line sensors are applied where precise positioning is required or where the dimensions of an object have to be determined with high accuracy (e.g. diameter of a wire). Close range with distances starting from 20 mm, or wide range with distances of several metres, on steel, plastic, wood, paper, or textile surfaces – with the laser triangulation sensors of the L-LAS-LT series you will solve even the most difficult measurement tasks. For through-beam operation with up to 2 m transmitter/receiver distance laser light curtains of the L-LAS-TB series are available up to a height of 100 mm. In combination with macro lenses these for example also allow the measurement of foil thicknesses with a resolution of approx. 100 nm. We also offer an interesting range of optical-fibre distance sensors for application in Ex areas with distances of up to 20 mm and frequencies of up to 100 kHz.
